about me

Every business owner needs someone they can think out loud with. Someone who asks the right questions, challenges assumptions and helps you make better decisions.

I've always had entrepreneurial blood in my veins. I remember selling tickets to my family to watch my living room concerts (thank goodness there were no mobile phones then), before moving on to creating products to sell at local craft fairs.  I’ve always been interested in what is working well in the market, but just as fascinated by what is missing.

With a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Applied Economics and Marketing, I've spent more than 30 years building businesses, solving problems and learning what it really takes to create sustainable growth. Some of those lessons came through success. Others came through mistakes. Every one of them has shaped how I work with business owners today.

I started my first business producing embossed monogrammed stationery, well before personalisation became mainstream. That was followed by a wedding stationery business, helping couples create stylish, affordable invitations at a time when custom options were limited. When my husband and I relocated to England (for his work), I sold the business and began looking for my next opportunity.

After returning to Australia, I spotted another gap in the market. There was very little available for people who genuinely loved decorating for Christmas, despite seeing incredible products while living overseas. That observation led to the creation of My Christmas, a business that grew into a successful seven-figure retail and e-commerce operation over the next 17 years.

Along the way, the business was recognised as a finalist in two national retail awards, but what I'm most proud of is building a loyal customer base that returned year after year and trusted us to be part of their Christmas traditions.

Running that business taught me far more than retail. It meant making thousands of decisions across marketing, customer experience, staffing, pricing, buying, supplier relationships, cash flow and long-term planning. Like every business owner, I celebrated wins, made mistakes, solved unexpected problems and pivoted to stay ahead of a constantly changing business landscape.

Selling My Christmas in 2024 gave me the opportunity to focus on what I enjoy most —working with business owners, talking through challenges and helping them identify opportunities that are often hiding in plain sight.

Running a business can be noisy. There are always new ideas, new platforms, new opportunities and new distractions competing for your attention. It's easy to become busy without making meaningful progress.

That's where I come in.

As a Business Advisor and your Thinking Partner, I work alongside you to bring clarity, ask the questions that matter, challenge assumptions when needed and help you make confident decisions that move your business forward.

Lasting business growth isn't built overnight. It's built brick by brick through practical action driven by good strategy. If you're looking for someone to think through the next stage of your business with you, I'd love to connect.

Cheers, Nicole Keleher
